Here are a few recent ones from my phone that I wanted to record in case they get deleted!

First Ice Cream Cone....she loved it, but kept saying "It's cold!".

She LOVES the bubbles!

What do you guys use for bubbles? We just use her regular bath wash (as my understanding is actual bubble bath isn't good for them). We figured her regular bath wash should be ok, right?

iPhone flash overload....but still a cutie pie! She grabbed a pillow and blanket and said she was going "night night" between the couch and the ottomon. Silly girl!

Dora is Serious Business

I took these pictures tonight as Olivia was watching an episode of Dora.

She paid me absolutely NO attention whatsoever.

And according to her facial expressions, Dora is a pretty serious show. Swiper must have swiped something really good! Ha.

Miss Priss is beginning to love her new chair. She is SUCH a creature of habit that I wasn't sure she'd ever decide this chair is better than her old one, but she's given in and relaxes in it (as you can clearly see).

I could stare at this girl for hours sometimes, and hopefully my pictures don't get too boring for you! I was probably a little picture happy today, as I spent the first night EVER away from her last night (more to come one that), and my heart was about to burst this morning waiting to see her!

Sunday Lunch

While we were eating lunch after church, Olivia and Jason began playing peek-a-boo around the centerpiece on the table. I had the camera nearby (as I always do), and I just loved how she looked so truly happy in these pictures, so I thought I'd share! My wish is that she is always this happy and content!

Has Spring Sprung???

On Sunday, I decided to go get a few plants for our yard. We have an empty flowerbed around a tree, and we also have a large pot on the porch that hasn't had anything in it.

I'm SURE we'll have another freeze, and I'll lose what we planted, but Olivia and I had a good time anyway! She was such a little helper!

She has on her ballerina pajama pants. She loves them.

Saying "Cheese!". I really wish she had not been taught that....it always ends up in a very unnatural smile!

She was telling me there was a bird on the roof. She said "Bird on mommy's house!" She has recently began referring to our house as "Mommy's house". No clue where that came from, but we'll turn into the neighborhood and she starts asking "Where's mommy's house?" and then "There it is!" when we get here. Again, no clue why it's only my house! HA.

Meet Baby Harper

On Saturday, Olivia and I got to go meet baby Harper! She was 9 days old and PRECIOUS.

She was SO excited about going to see them. She adores Hudson. Everytime I'd say "Want to go see baby Harper?", she'd respond with "and Hudson???". We ran a couple of errands before going to their house. On our last errand, I told her "Ok, now we can go see Hudson" and she got super excited and said "HURRY! HURRY!".

The second we got there, they hopped in Hudson's truck and took off. ***Notice how relaxed they are...this will become relevant later in the post.

Hudson got a BIG boy swing set. His daddy finished putting it together while we were there, so they had fun playing on it. It would make me a nervous wreck, but Hudson's a big tough boy and able to handle it! Olivia's favorite part was the house. She's such a girl!

And here's Harper! She has really pretty skin and the cutest nose!

Olivia and I took this bouncy seat to Harper. When Olivia realized we were leaving our house, she went in and started dragging the seat to the door. She was ready to give that baby her seat! She had talked about it for a week saying "that baby Harper's!".

BIG YAWN

This was after Olivia woke from her nap. She wasn't interested at all at holding Harper at that point. I'm not sure if it was because of the nap or because she was jealous that mommy had been holding that baby all day!

Remember when I told you to take note of how relaxed Olivia and Hudson are in his truck? Well, this is why...

This was Olivia's first time to drive. She can barely reach the pedal and has to scoot to the edge of the seat and lean back to get it, which means they only go for about 2 feet before it stops....which means they get whiplash about every 2 feet.

They both thought it was hilarious that she was driving.

Cupcake 1st Birthday - Show Us Your Life

1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY

Kelly's Korner is hosting Show Us Your Kids Birthday Parties in order to exchange ideas with other moms. I've put together a few of Olivia's 1st birthday pictures. I LOVED her 1st birthday theme and loved how everything turned out.

2nd Birthday was a pink poodle party....I'll probably upload that tomorrow or just direct you to that link (since it was fairly recent).

We also had polka-dot balloons and cupcake balloons everywhere. I somehow missed uploading those!

This was her "smash" cupcake. She LOVED it.

(She wore a smocked cupcake dress that matched her party perfectly. We just took it off for the cake).



Bakerella's Cupcake Pops

Lots of cupcakes. We also had a few finger foods, which included cupcake-shaped sandwiches for the kids.

This child had probably never had sugar. She was in love with the first bite. I'll have to work a lifetime to cure her of that taste she's now developed for sweets! HA!

Sesame Street Live

On Friday, we got to go see Sesame Street Live, which translates to "ELMO!" for one particular 2 year old! I was so glad we got to go, as Olivia began running a fever last Sunday night and didn't quit until sometime on Friday. She had/has bronchitis, but I don't know if that's the reason for the fever or not.

A N Y W A Y.......we purchased the tickets to SSL at least a month ago, so I was going to be really bummed had we not been able to go.

We met Clancy & Maggie, as well as Hudson and his Aunt Lisa (since his mommy was in the hospital with her newborn baby Harper!!!). All three kids loved it. Hudson was particularly excited about it and jumped up and down the entire time. Too cute! Olivia either sat in my lap or stood in front of me the entire time. I'm thrilled they made me buy that $25 ticket! HA.

All morning, Olivia kept saying "I go bye bye....Elmo!". She was super excited when we got there and she saw Elmo everywhere!

They were immediately intrigued.


But.....the cotton candy was definitely the hit of the show. Even a little girl sitting in front of us turned around and snatched her a big hunk of it! It was a first for Olivia and she sure loved that fluffy, sugary, sticky mess!

The show was all about living a healthy lifestyle (sleep, exercise, fruits/veggies, etc.)

Afterwards, we wanted to get a group shot of the kids. Hudson wouldn't sit. And here's what we got from the sassy girls. Oh well...maybe next time!

thirtysomething

I only vaguely remember the drama "thirtysomething". I was probably around 10 years old when it was on, and I'm sure I wasn't suppose to watch it....but I did at times. I recall the characters being so mature. So why is it now that I'm officially thirtysomething, I don't feel old?!?!?

I turned thirtysomething this past weekend....thirty-one to be exact.

I don't feel old because I'm not old...yet.

Talk to me again at 35.

Now, that sounds a little scary!

My mom came into town this weekend. She kept Olivia Saturday night while Jason and I went on a date. We went to dinner, then to Babies R Us, where we got a safety rail for our toddler's little bed! We converted her crib to the toddler bed this weekend. She's done great and hasn't gotten out of it at all until we come in and get her (knock on wood). She's such a big girl now!



These pictures are from one evening when it was bedtime. She ran in her room and got her pillow and blanket that belong to her doll bed, laid on the floor and said she was going "night night". So silly. I loved how she tried so hard to fit on that little pillow.

She found an empty diaper box this weekend as well. It's a fairly small box, but she got in and kept saying "I fit! I fit!". Well, she barely fit!

1st TCU Game

On Saturday afternoon, we took Olivia to her first TCU Basketball game. She seemed to enjoy it, although she did begin to get a little restless towards the end (but so was her daddy)! My in-laws have season tickets, and their seats are behind the dancers. She seemed to enjoy watching the girls dance (they are much more entertaining than the cheerleaders). Most of the time, she sat in her own chair and ate snacks and played peek-a-boo with the little girl sitting behind us.

Unfortunately, the TCU boys lost, but we still had a good time!
