20 Months Old

20 months?!?!?! WHAT?!?! I swear it seems like last week that I was typing your 19 month old post! Time is FLYING, and I have a feeling it’s only going to go by faster with the holidays coming up! You are going to be 2 years old before we know it!!!! (at which time, I will no longer do “monthly” updates).

You learn new words and phrases daily. Yesterday you told me “I not poopie” while shaking your head no. HA! You are starting to tell me when you are wet and dirty (poopie), so I’m hoping you’ll want to potty train around 2. I’m not going to push it, as I know you’ll do it when you are ready (but it sure would be nice to not buy diapers)!

I just started putting you in size 5 shoes. Hopefully you’ll stay a 5 throughout the Fall/Winter, as I’ve only bought size 5 Fall/Winter shoes! You are wearing 18 month clothes and weigh 24-25 pounds. I think you are pretty average when it comes to your height and weight.

I never imagined having a non-blue-eyed baby, but you have the most BEAUTIFUL brown eyes and the longest lashes to go along with them!

I took pictures of you in the bath today. You were telling me "shhhhh" because you were rocking the baby night-night. SO SWEET! You are the best little mommy with your babies!!!!

You are an absolute doll! We all love you so much! Just the other day your Gram E said you were being so cute that her heart hurt. Your Nana counts the days until she gets to see you. I rush home daily from work to pick you up and love on you. Daddy rushes thru the door daily to tell his Livi “hi”. You couldn’t possibly have more people around you that could ever love you more than we all do! Promise me that you will remember that...….forever!

This weekend Olivia's Aunt Emily (Jason's sister) was in town so we could celebrate her 34th birthday. It was very low key day with swimming & pizza!

Here's Liv telling me "bye" before we were leaving. She's all of a sudden decided she has to take her Dora purse with her when we go places. I'll have to work on finding her a tiny neutral purse that will go with more outfits!

LOVE this one! She's waiting on the bubble machine to work. Love her hands.... WHY isn't it working?!?!?!

Sleepy Girl

It appears the flash woke her up in this picture, but this is our Gracie taking a nap today. I just had to share with you! She totally thinks she's a little human. She sits on her bottom like this regularly, but this is the first time I've caught her with her head laying down napping while sitting like this. We're always telling her she's not a normal dog, and this only reinforces our opinion! HA!

Thirty-One & Babies

This past weekend, I had a Thirty-One open house to showcase our new Fall/Winter line. I welcomed children, as I didn't want to exclude those that couldn't locate a babysitter.....and boy, did the children come! HA! It was pretty wild in my house with one rambunctious 6 year old leading the troops! Next in line was a 2 1/2 year old, and the rest were all approximately 18-19 months. They ran and played and ran and played and yelled and ran....it was nuts, but fun was had by all!

We did manage to settle everyone down with an episode of "Yo Gabba Gabba". I think that lasted all of about 3 minutes! HA!

This little girl wasn't too interested in playing with all of the other kids. I think she was a bit overstimulated!

Labor Day Weekend Extended

Olivia and I headed to East Texas for Labor Day weekend. We made a stop at my grandparents' house on the way to my mom's house for a quick visit. It had been a few months since they had seen Olivia so I know she had changed a lot! She ran up to Pat (my grandmother) as soon as we got there and reached her hands up to be picked up. It was the strangest thing, as Olivia isn't usually overly friendly to people she doesn't see very often!

This was my Granddaddy's chair when he was little. Mom said she thinks his uncle built it for him, but Granddaddy, we need confirmation of that! HA! I was lucky enough to have my great-grandparents until I was in college, and this little chair sat in their living room for as long as I can remember. It now sits in my Granddaddy's living room. I'm glad Olivia got to take her turn sitting in the little chair too! I love it!

Unfortunately, I waited to take a group picture until we were about to leave. Olivia was quite aware that we had cleaned up the toys and packed our stuff, and she wasn't too interested in taking a picture. She was very concerned that I was going to leave her!


On Saturday, we went out and visited with Charisa and her family. Mom and Connie (Charisa's mom) can get together and talk for HOURS, so we were there for quite a while! It was so good to see them and hang out for a bit. It seems like our visits are usually very hurried, so the relaxed atmosphere was nice!

Here's Mrs. Connie showing Olivia how to golf. She was a BIG fan of Connie. I was glad she FINALLY got to meet her, as she was pretty much my 2nd mom growing up!

And here she is today getting ready to go out and battle the rain! She woke up coughing a lot in the middle of the night and has ran a low fever for a few days, so we kept her home and went to the doctor. Turns out it's a sinus infection, which means antibiotics, which in turn means TORTURE for mom and dad twice a day for 10 days. *SIGH*

SIDE NOTE:
Olivia has said a few "sentences" recently. Her first was "Hi Nana!" on the phone. Ok, so it's not a long sentence, but it is a sentence! HA! She has also said "Bye-Bye Water" (talking to the bath water as she watches it go down the drain...Gram E taught her that) and she said "Night Night Nana" plain as day this weekend; she told Jason "Thank You Daddy" last night. Her vocabulary has really blossomed lately. I know a lot of her words are probably only works that I know as I hear them all the time, but she definitely tries to say A LOT. Lately, she's been repeating everything. We sing "backpack backpack" from Dora; she tries to say "Yo Gabba Gabba" as it's currently her favorite show; the list goes on and on and on and on. It's just amazing how much her little brain can hold!
