Olivia's turned two on 1/20/11. It's so hard to believe that my BABY is two!

I made cupcakes for Olivia to take to school. They had a little mini-party for her, and I'm sure they had a good time!

As it was a "school night" and since her party was going to be in two days, we decided to just stay at home and have a regular evening. We went ahead and gave Olivia her gift (in addition to the picnic table we had already given her). She LOVES her little tricycle. I'm sure it will take a while for her to figure out how to ride it properly, but she definitely manages to get around!

All The Single Ladies...

I'm participating in Kelly's Korner - Show Us Your SINGLE Friends/Family! She did it last year and 2 couples are now engaged. Crazy! I have 3 fantastic single ladies I'd like to share with you; unfortunately, I'm only going to be able to share 2 at this time! CLANCY

Clancy is 31 and looking for that special man to share her future with. She was born and raised in Hope, AR and loves her AR roots, the Razorbacks, friends and family. She crossed the border to Texas to attend Stephen F Austin and graduated with a degree in Hospitality. She completed an internship in New York City and loved her time in the Big Apple. She returned to Texas and has been in Dallas since 2002 working in sales.

Unlucky in love. Clancy is divorced and the mother of two of the most beautiful children in the world (and I have one of my own!). She has sacrificed some career advancements to be a part time stay at home mom. She is an extremely dedicated mom and is doing a wonderful job raising her children. She is somehow able to manage work, children and a home completely on her own and I rarely hear her complain about any of it. She even mows her own yard...something I've only done once in my life!

She loves the Lord. Her church and church family have been most important in her life during the transition to single mom. She is grateful to her church family and she knows and believes there is that special someone for her in her future. She loves Life. She loves to have fun and loves to be active. She loves to cook, loves photography, loves the beach in Destin, the lake in Hot Springs and loves to travel. She is a romantic!! She is compassionate, caring and ready to meet that special someone! DEBORAH

Deborah will probably kill me for putting her out there like this, but I figure "why not"?! Deborah is 34, divorced and the mother of two small children (7 years and 2 years). I have worked with Deborah for several years and have become pretty close over the past 2-3 years. She loves her children more than anything in the world and would do anything for them. They come first in her life. Deborah works full time with an hour commute and then goes home to take care of two children on her own. I'm not sure how she does it without going completely crazy! I know being a single mom has to be tough, especially when the father of the children travels year round. Deborah is stronger than she even knows. She even recently learned to change her taillight in her car and fix the disposal....two things I know I've never even attempted! Ha.

Deborah loves country music (although listens to pop as well). She loves all things Disney and has been to Disney World the past two summers. She often refers to movies and songs from the 80's and makes fun of me for never knowing any of it! She carries with her a touch of sarcasm most of the time, although the more I've gotten to know her, I've come to realize that she has a very caring heart and isn't as tough as she'd like you to think!

Deborah is looking for a friend, a companion, someone who will love her for who she is, someone that is mature and responsible, and someone that will treat her and her children with respect. If you know or are that person, please post with your email address!

P.S. The best advise I could ever give you is to never, ever call her "Debi"! It's either Deb or Deborah!

Hudson's 2nd Birthday!

We went to Hudson's 2nd birthday party on Saturday. The them was trains, and boy, were there trains! I believe every gift he opened had SOMETHING to do with trains! I hope his obssession with them lasts a while!

I tried to get her to come sit with me, but everytime I would tell her "no" about something, they would all say "just let her do it!". She would be even MORE rotten if she was around them all the time!

We had a little surprise baby shower for my friend Nicole after her son's 2nd birthday party. I think she was truly surprised, which is hard to pull off!

Early Birthday Present

We bought Olivia a little picnic table for her birthday. It was delivered a couple of weeks ago, and Jason put it together this weekend while Olivia and I were at Hudson's birthday party. She immediately ran to it when we go home and has loved sitting at it. It stayed in our living room for a couple of days, but it will end up living outside. Her Nana bought her a table & chairs set for inside, but don't tell Olivia yet......it's a secret!

Totally Random

Ok, so while I'm never a fabulous writer, I'm positive that I shouldn't be writing anything tonight! Let me go ahead and apologize in advance for any grammatical or spelling errors! I've been up since 4:15am with NO CAFFEINE! A couple of ladies I work with decided we needed to "fast" from all caffeine (including my beloved diet coke), all sweets and all fast food. I'm not so concerned about the sweets or fast food, but let me tell you that I do desperately miss my diet coke....and it's only DAY 1! I'm not gonna lie...I'm a little scared! HA!

So, basically this post is just a few random pictures from last week and weekend.

I thought this one was just too cute....Olivia was having a snack and watching TV. She had apparently put her sippy cup on a coaster on the floor. Such a sweet girl!

I had to stop for diapers on my way home from work one evening. I browsed the toy section quickly and found this little ice cream set for 50% off. Olivia only had a couple of pieces of food for her kitchen, so I decided to get it for her. It has sprinkles, a few bowls, ice cream scoop, ice cream cones, etc. She LOVES it....just LOVES it. So far this is proving to be one of my better purchases.

Another day...playing at the table with the same toys. She carries them all over the house . She even shares her ice cream with the dogs.

This weekend Olivia got sick and it began with a high fever. SHOCKER...I mean, it was the weekend after all! (no sarcasm there AT ALL....promise....ha). Turns out she has another ear infection. We had only been off antibiotics for less than two weeks. We will meet with her ENT in a couple more weeks. I can only imagine that they will say she needs tubes again. I'm not sure it takes a medical degree to figure that one out!

About to leave for the doctor....she was struggling carrying that baby (but insisted she go along for the ride).

On Sunday, neither Olivia nor myself ever got out of our pajamas. It was really nice!

Yes, she is taking her babies rectal temperature. She apparently thinks this is just something normal you do to all babies! Poor thing...she's been sick TOO MUCH!

This was a first (and hopefully last since I don't want her to break it)! Not sure what came over her!

Olivia seems to be very domesticated. She loves her kitchen and cooking for us all. At the same time, she loves playing with her babies. Those are her two favorite things to do. Just the other day I heard her playing in the other room with her babies and she said "I wub you babies". I mean, seriously?! She's just too sweet! I'm sure I'm not partial at all! :)

I'll stop rambling now with my caffeine-deprived mind. Hope you enjoy your week!!!

Christians are Human too.

I get so tired of people thinking Christians are suppose to be perfect....that we don't make mistakes....that we are to be judged harsher than others because, after all, we ARE Christians....right?!

Well, I just want to remind people that Christians are human too. We make mistakes. We sin (gasp...but it's true)! Only Jesus himself walked on this earth without sinning. Yes, we should strive to be as much like Jesus as possible...and I truly hope people can see Him in me...however, we will NEVER be just like him....we will always have flaws. Yet we can always pick ourselves back up and strive to do better the next day.

I'm so very thankful to have a merciful, loving, forgiving God that accepts my flaws and my mistakes. I sure am glad He'll be the one casting judgment on me and not my fellow Earthly sinners!

New Years Weekend

Well, let's see.....we went to the grocery store, to Target, to Dillards, to the Mall, took down Christmas decorations and attempted to return our house to normal. That was about it for our weekend! I believe on New Years Eve we were in bed and probably asleep by 10:30pm. Ohhhh the life of parents! Meanwhile, my in-laws were most likely partying it up in California getting ready for the TCU game.....and in case you've been hiding under a rock the last couple of days...they are the Rose Bowl Champs! Go frogs!

I'm not really sure what they were doing here, but I heard a lot of giggling going on, so I came in to check it out. I can only assume Gracie was licking on her, but I'm not really sure! Regardless of what it was, Olivia sure thought it was funny.

Last visit with Hudson in 2010

Charisa, Nicole & Hudson came over last Wednesday evening for a little visit. Charisa was in town for just a couple of days. We had Rosa's (best fast food Mexican food), then we gave the kids a bath and just let them play. We had a good visit and were glad to get to see you guys!
