We have a little fish!

Olivia went swimming for the first time this weekend. I wasn't sure how she would react, but she likes bathtime, so I was hoping for the best. She seemed to LOVE it. She kicked and kicked and kicked and kicked....well, you get the picture! We only let her swim for a few minutes because it was SO hot and the sun was beaming down, but I think she had a great first swimming experience!

Thanks to my aunt Stacy, Olivia's great-aunt, for the cute polk-dot swimsuit!! Hope we get to come swimming at your "resort" again!

You can see the water rippling from her kicks.

Kicking some more...

Weekend Trip to Houston

FINALLY!!! My sister and her girls came to Texas, and Olivia got to meet her Aunt and her cousins. They live Wisconsin and it had been a little over a year since I had seen my nieces. That's just way too long! I saw my sister briefly in December when she flew in and surprised me for my baby shower, but since she refuses to fly again, I suppose we'll only see them once a year from now on unless we are able to go visit them there! Hopefully we'll be able to do that before next summer!

We all drove to the Houston area this weekend to visit with my aunt and her family. They just built a new house, which I loved! Congrats on your new home Stacy & Bob....we're jealous!

Enjoying the ride...or not...who knows!

IMPOSSIBLE to get a good pic of us all!

How time flies...

Livi is 20 weeks old today. On one hand, it doesn't seem possible. On the other hand, it seems like she's been a part of our lives forever. As much work and as tiring as it can be as a mom, I wouldn't have it any other way and can't imagine not having this precious little being in my world.

Here are a couple of pics from her 20 week old birthday!

Ok, so I just had to put these 2 pics in here. The other night we were just hanging out in the living room, and Olivia was playing on the floor. She kept looking up at me and "cheesing" so big. The camera is never far away, so I was able to snap a couple of shots. Please forgive her lack of clothing...this is one reason I always try to have her wearing something decent! You just never know when a photo opportunity may arise!

Here are a couple of shots -- where's my BABY? This looks like such a BIG GIRL!!

First Trip to the Zoo!

Olivia and I went to the zoo today with our friends Clancy and Maggie. Maggie is about 18 months old and loves babies. She's such a cutie. I can't wait until they are a bit older and can really play with each other. Here's our day in pictures...WARNING: there are a lot of pictures!

Olivia decided it was nap time.
Too bad she hasn't been partaking in this practice at night this week!

This was while we were in line for the train. We're going to be in trouble with this one! There was a little boy in line next to us and Olivia made eyes and smiled at him for the longest time.

Maggie looking for the train....precious!

Maggie really wanted Olivia out of that stroller.

I believe Maggie was telling us "OUT"

I believe I had sweated off all of my makeup! Oh well!!

Sleepless Nights & Puppy Play

It's been a crazy week, and I hate to say it, but I didn't really take many pictures this week. Shocker, I know! Olivia is going thru some stage right now where she's waking up throughout the night. It's only been for the last three nights, but it seems like an eternity! I swear I didn't sleep longer than 1 hour in any one stretch last night. I've narrowed it down to 3 possibilities: 1) her teeth are bothering her, 2) she's going thru a growth spurt and is just hungrier than normal, or 3) going thru the 4 month old sleep regression. I found this 3rd one via google, and apparently it's not very uncommon. Nonetheless, I hope she works it all out...and SOON! This almost seems worse than the first couple of weeks after she was born! I keep telling her that she isn't allowed to do this to me, but she's not listening to me!

My supervisor at work has a 16 month old and the longest stretch of sleep he has EVER had is 5 hours, and that was an extra special night. She deals with multiple night wakings on a nightly basis. Poor thing! I have so much sympathy for her now. I've only done it for three nights and here I am blogging about "Poor Me"!

Here are a few pics from this week. Olivia has really started to take notice of the dogs. While they think this is really cool at the moment, I have a feeling they might regret it when she starts being more mobile!

It's as if she was reaching out to Bentley saying "it's ok, you can take a sniff"

"Oh, I found Gracie's ear!"....Gracie doesn't look so thrilled.
This is about the time I ended their contact for the evening!
